wilhelminaframe@steampunkchronicle.comWilhelmina FramewilhelminaframeWilhelminaFrameEditrix de Mode & Part Time Lion TamerAtlantaGeorgiaUnited States30316
Wilhelmina Frame travels the globe in pursuit of adventure and style. When not in the circus ring with Rajah, her tiger and the rest of her kitten kabal (seven lions, three cheetahs and a rather droll panther), Ms. Frame can be seen at the most fabulous parties, in the latest fashions, sparkling with wit in conversation. Ms. Frame's alter-ego, Gretchen Jacobsen, is a freelance producer, self taught costumer and prolific crafter. She sings quite well also.

Steampunk is an aesthetic and a state of mind. It brings together the Victorian with the modern, taking the best of both and twisting it into a fantastic thing. My steampunk style begins in the haute couture and elegance of the previous age. Sometimes the literal past is completely steampunk without embellishment but sometime it needs a little roughing up. The Victorian era was a great time of expansion and upheaval. People were traveling the globe. Women were expanding their horizons and riding bicycles! Could transpacific airships and equality be that far behind?
-300Eastern Standard Timeen-US1624
DoctorQ@steampunkchronicle.comDoctorQDoctorQDoctorQMedia EditorDecaturGeorgiaUnited States30032www.theartificeclub.comDr. Quincy Erasmus Quartermain, or simply Doctor Q, is an eccentric adventurer of ever-increasing renown. In addition to being the acting Media Editor for this stellar periodical, he also serves as the Senior Director for Arts & Entertainment at AnachroCon and is also is the Founder of the Artifice Club, a place for those in the community of anachronists, retro-futurists, and scientists of various moral character to collect, commune, and share a drink, a story, and enjoy an entertainment or two. He is a traveler far and wide, and his collections of eclectic aesthetic tastes and colleagues of amazing skill and abilities are a constant source of pride and joy.“Steampunk is a rather silly word that was tacked on to a cultural movement across the spectra of art, music, fashion, and literature. It is neither steam-exclusive nor really punk (while counter-culture, it shares little with the punk movement at all really, as we are just as much into tophats and parasols as into grunge and grease-soaked anarchy). Its meaning is and should be different and unique to the individual. For me, steampunk is anything that takes the aesthetic love of the old craftsmanship and enmeshes that with modern sensibilities and projections. In brief, steampunk is a catchier word for retro-futurism. But I’m a big-umbrella type of person, so if your imagination can justify a world in which the Babbage Engine worked on the first try, great. If your view goes further back to the da Vinci days or leaps ahead to the era before the famed Archduke Ferdinand got assassinated, all the more power to you. As long as it looks or sounds like something that evokes a deep love of the past with a modern twist, you have the steampunk stamp of approval from me.”-300Eastern Standard Timeen-US855
EBush@steampunkchronicle.comEmile P. BushEBushEmilieBushPublicity DirectorAtlantaGeorgiaUnited States30306CoalCitySteam.comJournalist and writer Emilie P. Bush's debut novel Chenda and the Airship Brofman is a "ripping good yarn!" The tale was a 2010 Semi-finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Competition. Emilie P. Bush lives and writes in Atlanta.I love the self-reliance of Steampunk. Every character is a one-man/women-band. There's action and adventure, a life lived by brute force and one's wits alone. If you can dream it, you can be it. There's nothing I can't do if only I try. Oh, and the men all look so handsome in vests and goggles...
